Dandelion Whispers

For Ceremonies & Celebrations that are close to the heart

ABOUT ME

My name is Marieta Simmons
For the last 16 years of my life I have worked as a Nurse with high needs and elderly patients. I have found this line of work to be incredibly rewarding, and equally as stressful & exhausting.

Becoming a celebrant allowed me to achieve a perfect balance.
One moment I can celebrate a new life entering this world,
the next I can share a moment of pure love with a couple,
then I can also help a family celebrate the life of their loved one.

For many years I lived in a region at
the border of Botswana and the Molopo River in South Africa.
I believe this part of the world is one of God’s many gifts.
The land, the people, the wildlife, and the energy is something I feel coursing through my veins and in every breath I take.

In 1998 I made the move from South Africa, where I worked in banking, to New Zealand, where I began studying nursing.
However my story only took a momentary pause, as 11 years later I moved to Australia with my husband and we made our way to the beautiful South-West of Western Australia.
I have felt a similar connection to the land and wildlife here, and my ties within the community as a local nurse has allowed me to connect deeply with the residents of the South-West.

MY SERVICES

I am an Authorised Celebrant and offer a wide range of services for all matters of the heart.

My passion for sharing moments with couples allows me to offer different wedding packages that are suited to a wide range of ceremonies and sizes.

I proudly offer tribute and memorial services.
It is and always will be a great privilege to have the opportunity to spend a moment learning about, remembering, and celebrating the life of someone who is cared for.

I take great pride in my work, and my eternal goal is to ensure that these moments are presented, remembered, and cherished for many years to come.
