MY STORY

My name is Marieta Simmons, and I am an Authorised Celebrant.

Over 25 years ago I made the move from my home in South Africa to the beautiful country of New Zealand.

Before leaving South Africa, I lived in a small region on the Molopo River and the border of Botswana.
This part of the earth is one of God’s gifts, and spending time there has given me the opportunity to expand my horizon and look towards the things that truly matter in life..

The time I spent in New Zealand was a fantastic opportunity for my own personal growth as a person. This was where I took my first steps down the path of nursing, and where I would find myself living for 11 years. Now my path as a Nurse continues Australia.

As a nurse, I have had many moments throughout my career that have tested me. There have been many long shifts, sorrowing days, and moments that make me feel incredibly blessed.

Being a Celebrant is something I hold very dear. It is an incredible and fulfilling role that allows me to share incredible moments with couples, families, and communities.

I am a big dreamer and a romantic. I love so many things about this world, and sharing moments with family and friends is something I hold incredibly dear to my heart.

I sincerely hope to share these moments with as many people as I can, from now until the last sunset.
